The Food Cart Tours are offered in Midtown Manhattan and the Financial District. The Midtown Manhattan Tours are offered at 12:00 PM Friday afternoons, year round. The Financial District Tours are offered at 12:00 PM on Wednesday afternoons, year round, and on select Thursday afternoons May to October.

Dress comfortably. Flat rubber-soled walking shoes are recommended for this culinary adventure.

What To Know Before You Go

Tours include 1¼ miles of walking. Each participant will receive a bottle of water for the tour. There are typically six stops for tastings, and enough food is offered that, for most, a meal afterwards is not needed.

Participants should bring spending money as they will have the opportunity to purchase additional food, beverages, gifts and souvenirs on the tour.

Gratuities for your tour guide are not included but are greatly appreciated and may be offered at the end of the event.

Locations are rotated on a weekly basis, but tastings may include falafel and lamb off the bone, halal chicken and rice, Korean short ribs, Bengali kati rolls, Belgian waffles, and Mexican quesadilla.

There is a public restroom in the Market which participants are welcome to use.

This tour is accessible for individuals that use wheelchairs. With advance notice, listening devices with headsets or neck loops can be made available.

Answer: Children under five may attend for free. Please keep in mind that the tours are two hours long and are informative tours designed for foodies. Use your best judgment to determine if your child has the adequate attention span.
